How To Get Beautiful Skin Part 2: Lifestyle

 

We're looking at how to get beautiful skin. In the first article in this series we looked at a beautiful skin diet. In the second part of our journey we'll be looking at lifestyle factors.

1. Exercise

Regular exercise is essential for beautiful, glowing skin.

In the first place, it increases blood ciculation and also pumps more oxygen into your blood. This helps eliminate toxins and improves the distribution of nutrients to skin cells.

Secondly, it relieves stress. A good workout is one of the quickest ways to de-stress.

You don't need to exercise for hours on end every single day. Anything is better than nothing. 20 Minutes three or four times a week should be doable in everyone's schedule. There's no excuse.

2. Stress

We already touched on stress in the previous point. It's a very apt name for the condition, as your body is literally put under stress. Even though your body responds well to this condition, the problem lies in continued, chronic stress without any break in between.

Stress can break down your immune system, cause muscle pains, stomach problems and is known to aggravate skin problems.

Try to de-stress whenever possible, through exercise, relaxation, meditation, yoga, it doesn't matter. Try to take as least an hour out of every day to just chill.

3. Sleep

Sleep is essential for body and mind. Your body does most of its repair work while you sleep, so get plenty of it.

4. Smoking

As if we don't have enough environmental pollution for our bodies to deal with, many people insist in sucking poisonous fumes directy into their lungs with these little cancer sticks.

Smoking is bad for your body, and in particular for your skin. Heavy smoking over time will give the skin a leathery, wrinkled appearance. I'm sure you've seen it.

5. Sun

This should perhaps come right at the top because it is that important. The sun is your skin's single biggest enemy. Wear protective clothing, or when you go out for a day on the beach, protect yourself with a safe and effective sunscreen.

Now you know how to get beautiful skin by making certain adjustments to your lifestyle. It's easy to make excuses for not following through on some of these tips. If you really commit to them though, you will find time in your day to do the good things and the motivation to quit the bad.
